"Beaded leopard print jacket" - bugle bead embellishment

In this project, I beaded 40 leopard rosette shapes to create a leopard print on a tweed jacket. I beaded each rosette piece with gold long bugle beads on top of black cotton with black thread, while also adding small beads to create a more natural shape for the leopard print. I then attached each beaded rosette to the main jacket.

"Star " embellishment on black cotton dress

The embellishment is done starting from the top of the right shoulder of a black cotton dress with a high neckline. I used long gold bugle beads to form each branch of the star shape. This created gave the dress volume on the top side

Fish scale beading on calico

I started on tracing a beta fish scale skin pattern on to a paper to cut out the pattern and transfer into the blue calico piece of fabric. Then I cut the extra fabric between each hole and beaded on the calico. I used 3 types of blue, white and gold to mimic the beta fish skin better.

The bugle bead is the best

choice of beads for detailed

embellishments as they are

shiny and long.

Satin stitch in varying widths

Punch needle

Gathered lace and ribbon

I used a punch needle to pierce the thread through the fabric, it leaves a loop and when I pulled the thread it came on both sidesof the fabric

All of my work above is mainly inspired on my A-level textiles theme "ocean life".
